Florida
Here it is in a (large) nutshell:
Arrived at Orlando at ~12-1 pm, waited for my mom until ~3 b/c she took a later flight, eventually left for Key West at 4.
At Key West... nothing much going on there except for water, sun, swimming and glass-bottom boat tours.
Drove to Disney World... We could only get into one of the parks b/c we had the 1 day / 1 park tickets so we picked to go to the Magic Kingdom. I was kinda disappointed that I didn't get to see some of the things at the other parks but hey...it's Disney World. I'm just glad I got to go.
Then to Universal Studios... Also had a 1 day / 1 park ticket so we chose to go to Islands of Adventure where all the rides are. The rides involving water were especially fun b/c it was so hot that I didn't even mind getting drenched. But then the weather flipped 180° and it started to rain cats and dogs. Luckily we took shelter in a restaurant before it started. Everybody started buying rain ponchos and leaving the park. After the rain subsided a bit I started to get on as much rides as possible b/c I had an hour or so before I had to leave. By then there was hardly any queues so I got up to around 6 rides before I left.
Departed Florida.
Side story (Normal ppl may not understand how I feel):
One thing I was excited about was the fact that the Radisson we stayed at in Key West had the Sci-Fi Channel (61) because on Friday there was a special airing about Stargate: Atlantis and the Season 8 premiere of Stargate SG-1 was airing after that. We left Key West for Kissimmee on Thursday and I'm still happy and excited I get to see the shows. We get to Kissimmee and find out we're staying at the Ramada Inn this time. "Okay," I thought. "If the Radisson had Sci-Fi, Ramada HAS to have Sci-Fi." That was my logic and I was still excited. And then I turned on the TV and what do I find? It only goes up to 21. :| What the FRELL! There was nothing I could do. I was so disappointed...so sad. Most of you probably stopped reading this at "Sci-Fi Channel" but I just had to write this down.
My final piece of advice: Radisson NOT Ramada!
